These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Field Recorder Pro ("the App"), developed and operated by Cycling Head Studios ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By accessing or using Field Recorder Pro, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Field Recorder Pro is a professional audio recording application for iPhone. The App uses your device's microphone to record audio to local files in WAV, AIFF, or CAF format, and provides live monitoring, level metering, waveform display, filtering, and pitch detection. All audio processing and storage happens on-device.
Field Recorder Pro requires access to your device's microphone to function. Audio is processed on-device for recording, monitoring, and analysis. The App does not transmit audio off your device. You may revoke microphone access at any time through your device settings, though this will prevent the App from recording or monitoring.
You retain all rights to the audio you record using the App. We do not claim any ownership over your recordings, do not have access to them, and do not store them on any server.
You are solely responsible for the content you record and for complying with all applicable laws — including, where required, obtaining consent from people you record, respecting venue or property restrictions, and observing copyright and privacy laws in your jurisdiction.
Field Recorder Pro is a creative recording tool and is not intended for use as a certified measurement, calibration, or scientific instrument. Recording quality, levels, and pitch readings depend on your device hardware, environment, and iOS routing decisions. Use professional measurement equipment when certified accuracy is required.
The App is suitable for users of all ages. No age restriction applies.
Field Recorder Pro may offer in-app purchases to unlock additional features. Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. All purchases are final unless otherwise required by applicable law.
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by Cycling Head Studios and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that recordings will be free from artifacts, dropouts, or loss.
You are responsible for backing up any recordings you wish to retain.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cycling Head Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, recordings, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
